What is the enrolment process?
At Dua Early Learning, we have a personalised welcome process designed to help children and their families transition smoothly into our centre.
Once your family has been offered and accepted a position, we invite you and your child to participate in as many "stay and play" sessions as you like. These sessions allow your child to explore their new environment, meet their Educators, and connect with their peers at their own pace.
For parents, "stay and play" days provide peace of mind by offering a glimpse into your child’s daily routine and activities. It’s also an opportunity to build relationships with our Educators, ensuring a strong foundation of trust and communication.
Our goal is to create a warm, supportive start for your child’s journey with us, making Dua Early Learning feel like their second home.

How do absent days work?
You can get up to 42 allowable absence days per child each financial year covered by childcare subsidy (CCS).
You can only use absence days for days your child would normally attend care and get CCS. This includes public holidays.
When your child is absent on a day they would normally be attending, you are charged your normal daily gap fee.
You can use absence days for any reason, including if the child is on a holiday. You don’t need to provide evidence for any absences you use under the allowable absence limit.
If you reach your 42 allowable absences before the end of the financial year, you may be eligible to have any additional absences covered by CCS if you provide evidence such as a medical certificate.

How does childcare subsidy (CCS) work?
You can apply for childcare subsidy through the services australia website.
A link to this can be found in our parent resources.
If your childcare subsidy has been approved, you will be asked to approve a pending enrolment through your centrelink or mygov app. This links your child to our centre and provides Centrelink with the information required to pay CCS ensuring you are only charged a gap fee.
Childcare subsidy is not paid to the centre for your child until the enrolment is confirmed.
CCS is paid over a fortnightly period and consequently the fees may alter week to week as the entitlments are applied.
The gap amount you are charged will depend on the CCS % and approved hours based on the entitlments centrelink provides you with.
